Why does being a DVC Member sometimes mean getting jipped?
I love being a Disney Vacation Club member. I love owning a piece of the magic, as they say. However, there are certain things that, as a member, I get denied.
I see all these great deals at different times of the year, “Buy 4 Get 3 nights free”, “Free Dining Plan” and “Free Gift Cards”. Ok, so obviously the free nights, I don’t need. But what about a nice $200 gift card? What about getting a free dining plan option?
It’s understandable that Walt Disney World Resort is probably trying to bring in new customers with these promotions. However, as a family who has spent quite a bit of money on not only a time share, but being a guest there almost annually, I feel like I deserve a little something extra also. The tens of thousands of dollars that we have spent there since 2000 should absolutely mean something to them. Even something as small as mousekeeping – we can’t even get THAT as often as a regular guest. Maybe I would like my room cleaned every single day.
Maybe these seem like petty complaints, but I just feel that as a member, who is told that we “are home” when we check in, I should get a little extra something as a “Thank You” for returning every year.
